London Office Refurbishment Project May 2020 Update COVID-19

Fortunately for Initial Interiors and our clients we were able to complete all our projects throughout the City and London before a full lockdown was implemented, bringing in extra resources to finish one project ahead of time.

As the extent of the crisis began to unfold it was decided after consultation with our clients to delay the start of any new projects until a clearer picture of the way forward appeared.

That doesn’t mean we have not been busy, we have been working away in the background, planning for the lifting of restrictions, keeping in touch with our clients to reassure them that we will be able to meet there needs in the future. Nobody knows what the workplace will look like in the coming months, but we are sure we can adapt to all eventualities and continue to offer exceptional service.

Corona Virus Safety – COVID-19 Precautions and Future Projects

At the present time the true impact on working practices has not become apparent but we can all be sure that our working practices will be significantly different for the foreseeable future. It’s at times like this that being one of London’s many smaller contractors is a massive advantage over a larger competitor. We are quicker to react and adapt and with keeping our overheads low can still offer exceptional value in these difficult times and still be able to outperform our larger competitors regarding time frames and quality of workmanship.

As with all employers the health and wellbeing of our staff, along with the health and wellbeing of our clients staff is at the forefront of our business, we will absolutely not undertake any tasks unless we are sure it can be done in a safe manner along with present government guidelines.

Given this we are implementing new working practices to enable us to continue business in a safe manner without any impact on costs and keeping any impact on timelines to a minimum.

Many of our clients are planning for the return to more normal working practices and are contacting us regarding changes to their office spaces to help them comply with social distancing at the workplace. We are happy to discuss and implement any small works requested by our existing clients or new clients that will help them keep their employees safe in the workplace.
